Care and support

Residential care

Our Residential Care Homes offer a comfortable and supportive environment, providing accommodation, delicious meals, laundry services, and personalised care assistance. We’re here to support those who find it challenging to manage independently at home or would benefit from the dedicated care our homes provide. While our typical minimum age for admission is 65, some homes may consider younger residents. Please contact the individual homes for more information.

Dementia care

Every one of our homes provides compassionate dementia care. Our staff receive specialised training to meet the unique challenges of dementia, and each home has qualified Dementia Champions who have completed advanced training to provide expert support for residents and their families. For those with more advanced needs, the comprehensive care available in our Nursing Homes may be more suitable than that provided in a Residential Home.

Respite care

We partner with family carers to provide compassionate and comprehensive respite care. We recognise the dedication and commitment involved in caring for a loved one and offer respite care as a way for involuntary carers to take a break and focus on their own well-being, while their loved one receives expert care and support. Respite care can also be an important part of recovery following an incident or health issue, supporting individuals and families as they regain their independence.

Nursing care

Our Nursing Homes provide all the amenities of our Residential Care Homes, with a crucial difference: 24-hour care from registered nurses. This specialised nursing support ensures residents with complex medical conditions and specific care needs receive expert clinical attention, safely and effectively maintaining their health and well-being to the highest standards.

Palliative care

For individuals facing severe or terminal illness, we offer compassionate palliative care that focuses on holistic well-being. Our priority is to maximise comfort and manage pain effectively. We also provide support for families and friends, helping them through times of bereavement and grief. This specialised care is available in our Nursing and Residential Homes, provided by our specially trained team.

Years of kind and compassionate care

★★★★★

My husband has been a resident at Ranvilles for 6 years. In all that time, the staff have always shown to be kind and caring. The difficult area of personal care is done with dignity and compassion for the residents. Staff always talk to you and help and understand, not just for the resident but also for the family member. My husband cannot speak but he knows and trusts the carers, often smiling at them. Thank you, Ranvilles, for all you have done for both of us.

Lovely visit today. Very caring attentive staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Very clean and comfortable surroundings. Each resident’s needs are met in so many different ways to ensure their well-being.

Kind and compassionate care

★★★★★

My father was a resident at Seven Arches from Sept 23 to Feb 24. I simply cannot thank the manager and all of the staff enough for the kindness, compassion and patience they showed to him during his stay. It was a difficult transition for Dad to move from his own home, however, as a result of the care he received, Dad was very happy and contented. For myself, knowing that Dad was safe was a great comfort, especially during the last weeks of his life.

Bright, cheerful and homely environment

★★★★★

In the month my husband has been in Seven Arches, he and his family members have been treated with good care, kindness and friendliness and made to feel very welcome. All staff have been excellent (carers, nurses, catering, laundry and domestic staff). It is a lovely, bright and cheerful, homely environment.

Very warm and welcoming

★★★★★

Would like to say that Brookvale House is a lovely place. It is very warm and welcoming. The staff are very helpful, very friendly and very professional. You can ask them anything and nothing seems to be any bother. There is always some activity going on and everyone is just happy. It gave us (family) peace of mind knowing that when we leave after visiting, my mum is in a happy, safe place.

Enjoyable social activities

★★★★★

My husband has been looked after with care and dignity. He celebrated his birthday, and they welcomed all the family, and we were out in Summer House. He enjoyed everybody from his family being around him. The care he receives is very good and they care about things they do, the entertainment and music is a favourite he enjoys.

Peaceful and comforting

★★★★★

If only we had found this nursing home sooner… The manager and nurses were always on hand to welcome visitors, answered questions and kept relatives informed. I cannot thank the team at Seven Arches enough for making a very sad and difficult time as peaceful and comforting as it could be.

Exceptional dementia care and support

★★★★★

My husband has been a resident in Ranvilles since just before Covid lockdown, so we have experienced a range of different situations. He has dementia which means his behaviour can be difficult. The staff at Ranvilles really do have a good understanding of how to help and care for residents who can become extremely distressed. They have nursed him through many medical emergencies so well and I can’t thank them enough. Whenever I visit, I am always greeted by name and made to feel welcome.
